The Consist
(Pronounced CON-sist) are the cars which make up a train. These cars are also refered to as rolling stock. Each vintage car is different and unique with its own history. Coach 105/106
Enclosed Passenger coach, built in 1949, these 80foot cars have restroom facilities.
Coach 2705
Enclosed Long island commuter, Built in 1963 has heat and air-conditioning but No restroom
Coach 549
Enclosed Passenger Built 1938 by Budd Mfg. Has heat and air-conditioning, plus restrooms.
Special Access 405
Built by Pullman-Standard in July 1947, Special access lifts can accomidate wheelchair and scooters
Concession 206
Built for the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1956 as part of an order of 10 baggage cars
Coach 332
Enclosed Passenger Coach, Built in 1955 by American Car Foundry. Has 3 restrooms
Coach 150
Enclosed Passenger Coach, Built for New York Central Railroad in 1923 by Osgood Bradley Company, has restroom
Open-Air 2975/2929
Built in 1954 by Pullman as push-pull coaches purchased from the Long Island Rail Road. Open Air cars are covered with open sides and no restrooms
Open-Air 697
A 40 foot box car built in 1971. Our first Open-Air is covered and no restroom.
All cars are connected with a walkway so everyone can go to the concession car easily while in route.
