On Sunday, October 24th our Pumpkin Pickin’ Specials will depart at 1:00pm and 3:00pm for the trip to Farmer Brown’s field where children and adults can pick out their pumpkin for themselves, greet Farmer Brown and then return to Blue Ridge. For those 2 and above the fare is $18.00. No charge for those under 2 not occupying a seat.

After a relaxing, scenic trip aboard the train you will be dropped off at the front door of Rolling Thunder River Company for some splashy fun on the river of your choice. Enjoy a lazy, refreshing float down the beautiful Toccoa River on a colorful inner tube (Rail & Tube) or tackle the most popular whitewater river in the country for some action-packed adventure (Rail & Raft). THE SANTA EXPRESS -November 24th thru December 24th

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway celebrates the holidays on The Santa Express with forty-five, fun-filled train rides. On board, your family will hear Christmas stories, sing Christmas carols with elves, and visit with the North Pole’s jolliest elf himself during the ride. Seats are limited: Advance reservations are required. These trips take approximately 1 hour. Ticket prices are $32 for those 13 and above, and $17 for those 2 thru 12. Children under 2 not occupying a seat will receive a free ticket. (There is no stop or layover during this trip.) Before the trip come meet Mrs Clause on our deck at the depot for photo opportunities. Bring your camera!

NIGHT EXCURSIONS TO SANTA’S VILLAGE - Nov. 24th thru Dec. 18th

Late afternoon departure (4:30pm) on various dates from Blue Ridge for the 1 hour trip to McCaysville/Copperhill for a visit to Santa’s Village located on the deck overlooking the Toccoa/Ocoee River. See Christmas Trees all decorated for the holiday season, children can explore the inside of the village mini-buildings, listen to carolers on selected dates, and then cross over the river on the Old Iron Bridge all decorated with Christmas lights to reach Santa’s workshop where he will wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! There will be time for food at local restaurants and shopping at local antique and gift shops before departing for Blue Ridge arriving at 8:30pm.
