Easter Egg-Spress

Saturday, April 7th

Return: by 6:00 pm

Bring your Easter Basket and we’ll travel a few miles to Farmer Brown’s field to hunt for Easter Eggs and to greet the Easter Bunny.

Children under the age of 2 and not occupying a seat are issued a free ticket

Firecracker Special

Tuesday, July 3rd
Departure: 7:30 pm
Return: by 11:00 pm

Join us on Tuesday, July 3rd for our Firecracker Special to McCaysville/Copperhill. We depart Blue Ridge at 7:30pm to enjoy the great Copper Basin Fireworks display about dark thirty and then return to Blue Ridge by 11:00pm. Bring your lawn chair and sit outside the train to view the sparkles!

Pumpkin Pickin’

Sunday, October 28th
Departure: 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm
Approximately 1 Hour

Join us for a trip to Farmer Brown’s field where children and adults can pick out a souvenir pumpkin, greet Farmer Brown, and then return to Blue Ridge.

Santa Express

Various Dates November 23rd to December 24th
Departure: Various Times (please see online schedule calendar)
Approximately 1 Hour

Starting the day after Thanksgiving and running through December 24th, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway celebrates the holidays on the 1 hour Santa Express with daytime, fun-filled train rides.

On board, your family will hear a Christmas story, sing Christmas carols, and visit with the North Pole’s jolliest elf himself, Santa, as he walks through each train car visiting and posing with the kids for photos.

Each passenger also receives the traditional Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Christmas Memento.

Seats are limited: Advance reservation are required.

Night Trains to Santa’s Pavilion

Various Dates- November 23rd to December 22nd

Departure: 4:00 pm
Returns: 8:00 pm

This is a late afternoon departure (4:00pm) on various dates from the Blue Ridge Depot for the 1 hour train ride while Santa visits with the children in each car and gives each child a Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Christmas memento and candy cane. Santa will pose with the passengers for pictures on the train or in the Christmas Pavilion during the two hour layover. Take time to eat and shop the many stores and antique galleries while in McCaysville/ Copperhill.
