The Caboose
Experience the historic Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad aboard your own restored Caboose that can be added to any scheduled train.
This private car provides the perfect atmosphere for family reunions, birthday parties, private meetings, corporate events, or just a fun experience! Our Caboose accommodates up to 10 riders (including infants) with seats on the main level and in the cupola. The climate-controlled Caboose features two windows in the cupola that can be opened, a private bathroom, heat, and open-air vestibules at each end for an unobstructed view of the beautiful Blue Ridge countryside.
Snacks with an assortment of 10-bottled Coca-Cola products are included. (Alcohol is not permitted). It’s an excellent value for small groups and private parties of up to 10 passengers.

Advanced reservations are required, and the availability of caboose rentals are limited.

Charter fares are subject to 7% Historic Preservation Fee. Schedules, fares, equipment, seat selection, and meals are subject to change without notice. Payment in full at booking by major credit card is required to finalize your reservation. You may cancel your charter in full or in part and receive a refund, less a $100.00 fee, up to 48 hours (2 days) before departure. Within 48 hours of the departure, the charter becomes nonrefundable. You may reschedule any time before your originally scheduled departure with a $100.00 fee for another date within the same calendar year. You may not reschedule a charter after the scheduled departure.

We have many adventures planned on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway from March through December. Choose from our 2-Hour Express or 4-Hour Excursion trips. Both trips take the same 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. The 4-Hour Excursion includes a 2-hour layover in McCaysville, GA / Copperhill, TN.
