All Aboard for a Halloween Adventure!
Celebrate Halloween aboard the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Trick or Treat Train, a special one-night-only journey through the North Georgia countryside. Depart from historic downtown Blue Ridge and travel along the Toccoa River to the sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia, and Copperhill, Tennessee, where Halloween festivities await.
A Halloween Train Ride for the Whole Family
Put on your costumes and make the journey part of the Halloween fun. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway crew will be dressed for the occasion, children will receive candy aboard the train, and passengers can take part in a People’s Choice Costume Contest by voting for their favorite crew costumes.
The evening begins at the Blue Ridge Depot with a scenic ride through the North Georgia mountains before arriving in McCaysville and Copperhill for an evening of trick-or-treating.
Trick or Treat in Two States
Once the train arrives, families will have approximately two hours to explore downtown McCaysville and Copperhill. The downtown area becomes vehicle-free for the community’s Halloween celebration, giving children the chance to trick-or-treat at participating local businesses while families enjoy the festive atmosphere of these neighboring mountain towns.
And because the Georgia–Tennessee state line runs right through town, you can celebrate Halloween in two states in one night.
